Safety: Unplug the unit before removing interior panels.

Steps:

Identify damper location: On dual-zone Thermador wine coolers, the damper is typically located between the upper and lower compartments behind an interior panel.
Access damper: Remove shelves and the partition or rear panel to expose the damper assembly.
Inspect for obstruction: Check for bottles, packing material, or ice blocking the air channel or damper flap. Remove any obstructions and defrost ice with towels and ambient air.
Test damper movement: With power restored briefly, change zone setpoints and listen/feel for damper movement. Then disconnect power again.
Electrical test: Check damper motor resistance and wiring continuity. Replace the damper assembly if the motor is open or the flap is broken.
Control board: If the damper tests good but never receives power, the main control board may be at fault.

E17 error; dual-zone unit may show both zones at same temperature or one zone disabled.
