Possible Causes

Temperature sensor located too close to evaporator, Oversensitive control algorithm, Poor air circulation around sensor, Incorrect setpoint or differential settings

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before moving sensors or accessing the control board.

Steps:

  • Check sensor location: Ensure the cabinet NTC sensor is not directly in the cold air stream from the evaporator outlet.
  • Improve airflow: Rearrange bottles and shelves to allow free air movement around the sensor.
  • Adjust settings: If your Transtherm model allows, increase the temperature differential (hysteresis) so the compressor runs longer but less frequently.
  • Replace sensor: If the sensor is erratic, replace the cabinet NTC temperature sensor.

Note: Excessive short cycling can reduce compressor life; address promptly.
