Clicking sound from compressor area and no cooling

Safety: Unplug the cabinet before touching the compressor or electrical parts. The compressor can be very hot.

Steps:

• Improve ventilation: Ensure adequate clearance around the cabinet and that ventilation grilles are not blocked.
• Clean condenser: Remove dust from the condenser coil to reduce compressor load.
• Replace start device: Inspect and replace the compressor start relay and overload protector if they show signs of overheating or rattling.
• Allow cooling: Let the compressor cool for at least 30 minutes before restarting.

When to call a technician: If the compressor continues to click on and off after replacing the start device and improving ventilation, the compressor itself may be failing and requires professional replacement.
