Possible Causes
Misaligned hinges, Warped door, Compressed or torn gasket, Shelves or bottles interfering with door closure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No electrical work is required; ensure the cabinet is stable before adjusting the door.
Steps:
- Check for obstructions: Ensure shelves and bottles are not protruding and hitting the door.
- Inspect gasket: Look for tears, gaps, or hardened sections in the Transtherm door gasket. Warm the gasket gently with your hands to improve flexibility.
- Adjust hinges: Loosen hinge screws slightly and adjust the door so it sits squarely in the opening, then retighten.
- Replace gasket: If the gasket is damaged or does not seal even after adjustment, replace the door gasket with the correct Transtherm part.
Tip: After adjustment, close the door on a strip of paper at several points; you should feel resistance when pulling it out.
