Possible Causes
Cabinet temperature above sensor measurement range, Sensor disconnected or open circuit, Door left open for extended period, Failed compressor or major cooling fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing sensors or internal components.
Steps:
- Close door and allow time: If the door was left open, close it and allow several hours for the cabinet to cool. Hi may clear automatically.
- Check sensor connection: Inspect the cabinet temperature sensor and its harness for disconnection or damage. Reseat the connector at the control board.
- Test sensor: With power off, measure resistance of the sensor. An open circuit will cause Hi. Replace the cabinet NTC sensor if faulty.
- Verify cooling system: Ensure the compressor and fans run. If they do not, diagnose compressor start components, fan motors, or control board.
Technician note: If the sensor is good and cooling components run but Hi persists, the control board's sensor input may be defective.
