Possible Causes
Failed evaporator fan motor, Ice obstructing fan blade, Loose fan wiring, Control board not energizing fan circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing the interior fan assembly.
Steps:
- Check for airflow: With the door slightly open and unit running, you should feel airflow from the rear vents. If not, proceed.
- Inspect for ice: Remove the interior rear panel and check for ice buildup around the fan. Defrost manually if necessary.
- Test fan movement: Spin the fan blade by hand. If stiff or seized, replace the evaporator fan motor.
- Verify wiring: Ensure the fan connector is secure and wires are intact.
Note: A non-running fan can cause temperature stratification and poor overall cooling performance.
