Possible Causes
Normal automatic defrost cycle, Extended defrost due to heavy frost, Faulty defrost sensor causing prolonged defrost
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: On some TYLZA models, 'dF' simply indicates the unit is in a normal defrost cycle.
- Observe duration: If 'dF' appears briefly and then clears within 20–40 minutes, this is likely normal operation.
- Check frost level: If heavy frost is present on the evaporator, unplug the unit and perform a full manual defrost by leaving the door open until all ice melts.
- Monitor temperatures: After defrost, plug the unit back in and verify that cooling resumes and 'dF' does not stay on continuously.
- If stuck in dF: A faulty evaporator sensor or control board may be keeping the unit in defrost. Test and replace the evaporator sensor or main control board as needed.
