Possible Causes
Failed ambient NTC sensor near front grille, Sensor wiring damaged by vibration, Loose connector on main control board, Sensor out of calibration due to moisture ingress
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before working near the compressor compartment.
- Locate ambient sensor: On many TYLZA wine coolers, the ambient sensor is mounted near the front kick plate or behind the front grille to sense room temperature.
- Visual inspection: Remove the kick plate, locate the small probe or sensor housing, and check for broken wires or corrosion.
- Check resistance: With a multimeter, measure the sensor resistance at room temperature. Compare to the specification in the service manual if available; open or short readings indicate failure.
- Replace sensor: Install a compatible ambient NTC sensor, secure it in the same location, and ensure the wiring is not touching hot compressor lines.
- Reconnect and test: Plug the unit back in and verify that E3 clears and the compressor now cycles normally.
