Possible Causes
Failed magnetic reed switch, Misaligned door magnet, Broken door switch wiring, Faulty door sensor input on main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before removing trims or panels.
- Check door alignment: Ensure the door closes fully and the gasket seals all around. Adjust leveling feet if the door is sagging.
- Locate door sensor: On many TYLZA models, a magnetic reed switch is located behind the front frame near the top or side, with a magnet embedded in the door.
- Test magnet: Slowly close the door and listen for the alarm to stop. If it does not, hold a small magnet over the frame where the sensor is located; if the alarm stops, the door magnet is misaligned or weak.
- Inspect wiring: Remove the inner trim to access the reed switch and check for loose or broken wires.
- Replace components: Replace the door reed switch or door magnet with TYLZA-compatible parts as needed.
- Test operation: Restore power and confirm E9 clears and the alarm only sounds when the door is open.
