Possible Causes
Stuck relay on main control board keeping compressor on, Shorted temperature sensor reading too warm, Control board logic fault, Incorrect sensor placement touching evaporator
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooler before accessing internal components.
- Check setpoint: Confirm the temperature setting is correct and not accidentally set too low.
- Verify sensor placement: Inspect the cabinet temperature sensor to ensure it is not touching the evaporator coil directly, which can cause false readings.
- Power reset: Unplug for 10 minutes, then plug back in and monitor if the compressor cycles off properly.
- Test sensor: Measure the NTC sensor resistance and compare to expected values. Replace if out of range.
- If compressor never stops: The compressor relay on the main control board may be stuck closed. Replace the main control board with a TYLZA-compatible unit.
