Possible Causes
Faulty internal power supply on main PCB, Loose mains connection at terminal block, Undersized or failing external power source, Damaged power cord
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooler before inspecting the power cord or internal connections. Mains voltage can be lethal.
Steps to check and fix:
- 1. Verify outlet: Test the wall outlet with another appliance or a multimeter to ensure correct voltage and stable supply.
- 2. Inspect power cord: Check the Vestfrost power cord for cuts, kinks, or burn marks. Replace the cord if any damage is found.
- 3. Check internal connections: Remove the rear or top panel to access the mains terminal block and main PCB. Tighten any loose screw terminals and ensure spade connectors are fully seated.
- 4. Examine power supply section: On the main PCB, look for swollen capacitors, burnt resistors, or cracked solder joints in the power supply area.
- 5. Replace main PCB if needed: If the external supply is good and connections are secure but E15 persists, the internal power supply on the PCB is likely faulty. Replace the main control PCB with a genuine Vestfrost part.
- 6. Avoid extension cords: Plug the wine cooler directly into a properly grounded outlet to ensure stable voltage.
