Possible Causes
Door left open or frequently opened, Ambient temperature too high for appliance class, Blocked condenser or failed condenser fan, Compressor or sealed system fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the unit is placed in an environment within the specified ambient temperature range for your Vestfrost model.
Steps to check and fix:
- 1. Check door usage: Make sure the door is fully closed and not obstructed by shelves or bottles. Minimize door openings to allow temperature to recover.
- 2. Inspect door gasket: Look for tears, warping, or dirt on the gasket. Clean with warm soapy water and dry. Replace if it does not seal all around.
- 3. Verify ventilation and condenser cleanliness: Ensure adequate clearance around the cooler. Clean dust from the condenser coil and ventilation grilles.
- 4. Check condenser fan and compressor: Confirm that both run when cooling is required. If the fan is not running, test and replace it. If the compressor is hot and cycling on overload, suspect a mechanical or electrical compressor issue.
- 5. Allow recovery time: After correcting airflow and door issues, allow 12–24 hours for the temperature to drop. The H1 warning should clear automatically.
- 6. If temperature does not drop: Persistent high temperature despite proper operation suggests a sealed-system problem (leak, restriction, or weak compressor). Contact a certified technician.
