Possible Causes
Burnt-out LED module or bulb, Faulty door switch, Loose wiring to light assembly, Failed light driver on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooler before working on the light or door switch.
Steps to check and fix:
- 1. Check door switch: Verify that the door switch operates correctly and that other door-dependent functions (like fan stop) work. Replace the switch if faulty.
- 2. Access light assembly: Remove the light cover inside the cabinet (usually clipped or screwed). Inspect the LED module or bulb.
- 3. Test or replace light: For LED modules, replace the entire module with a Vestfrost-compatible part. For bulb-based systems, install a new bulb of the correct type and rating.
- 4. Inspect wiring: Ensure the light wiring harness is intact and firmly connected to the PCB.
- 5. PCB driver: If a known-good light and switch do not work, the light driver circuit on the main PCB may be defective and require board replacement.
