Possible Causes
Blocked condensate drain hole, Cracked or displaced drain tube, Excessive door opening causing condensation, Cabinet not level causing water to overflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooler before removing internal panels. Mop up any standing water to prevent slipping.
Steps to check and fix:
- 1. Locate drain hole: Inside the cabinet, find the small drain hole or channel at the rear bottom where defrost water should flow.
- 2. Clear blockage: Use a soft pipe cleaner, cotton swab, or flexible plastic rod to gently clear any debris or mold from the drain hole. Do not use sharp metal objects.
- 3. Flush with warm water: Using a turkey baster or syringe, flush warm water through the drain to ensure it flows freely to the rear drip tray.
- 4. Inspect rear drain tube and tray: At the back of the unit, check that the drain tube is properly connected and not cracked. Ensure the drip tray above the compressor is correctly positioned.
- 5. Level the unit: Adjust leveling feet so that water naturally flows toward the drain.
