Possible Causes
High ambient humidity in room, Door gasket leaking warm moist air, Door frequently opened, Failed door heater (on heated-door models)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before inspecting door wiring or heaters.
Steps to minimize condensation:
- 1. Check ambient conditions: If the room is very humid, some condensation is normal. Use a dehumidifier or improve ventilation.
- 2. Inspect door gasket: Look for gaps or damage that allow moist air to enter. Replace the gasket if it does not seal tightly.
- 3. Reduce door openings: Limit how often and how long the door is opened.
- 4. Door heater check (if equipped): Some Viking wine coolers have a door mullion heater. If condensation is heavy around the door frame, the heater may have failed. Have a technician test and replace the heater if necessary.
