Safety: Unplug the unit before removing interior panels or accessing the control board.

Steps:

Verify installation conditions: Ensure the wine cooler is not installed in direct sunlight, near ovens, or in a garage with extreme temperatures.
Compare actual vs displayed temps: Place accurate thermometers in both zones and compare readings to the display. Note which zone is inaccurate.
Inspect zone thermistors: Remove the interior back panels for each zone. Locate and inspect the thermistors for secure mounting and intact wiring.
Test suspect thermistor: Disconnect and measure resistance at the same temperature as the other zone's sensor. A large discrepancy indicates a faulty sensor.
Replace faulty zone thermistor: Install a new Whirlpool-compatible thermistor for the affected zone, routing wiring as originally installed.
Check harness connections: At the main control board, verify that both zone sensor connectors are fully seated and not swapped.
Control board replacement: If both sensors test good and wiring is intact, the main control board may be misprocessing the zone data and should be replaced.

Note: After replacing sensors or the board, allow several hours for temperatures to stabilize before judging performance.

Wine cooler displays E9 and may show incorrect temperature or fail to cool evenly.
