Possible Causes

Door left open or not sealing, Recent power outage or warm loading, Failed compressor or low refrigerant charge, Blocked condenser airflow

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: No internal electrical work is required for basic checks, but unplug the unit if you remove panels.

Steps:

  • Check door closure: Ensure the door is fully closing and the gasket is not obstructed by racks or bottles.
  • Inspect door gasket: Look for tears, gaps, or warped sections. Close a thin sheet of paper in the door at several points; if it pulls out easily, the seal is weak.
  • Allow recovery time: If the door was open or the unit was recently loaded with warm bottles, allow 12–24 hours for temperature to recover. The alarm may clear automatically.
  • Check ventilation: Verify that front and rear vents are not blocked and that the unit has proper clearance.
  • Listen for compressor and fans: Confirm that the compressor and condenser fan are running. If they are not, further diagnosis of the compressor circuit or control board is needed.
  • Clean condenser: Unplug the unit and clean dust from the condenser coil to improve cooling performance.

When to call a technician: If the unit runs continuously for 24 hours and cannot reach set temperature, there may be a sealed system issue (refrigerant leak, weak compressor) requiring professional service.
