Possible Causes

Stuck keypad button, Moisture in control panel, Failed display PCB, Loose wiring to control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before removing the control panel.

Steps:

  • Power reset: Unplug for 10 minutes and plug back in. If Er returns, continue.
  • Inspect control panel: Remove the screws securing the front control panel. Check for signs of moisture, corrosion, or physical damage.
  • Test buttons: Press each button individually to feel for proper click. A stuck button can cause an error; gently free it or clean around it.
  • Dry moisture: If condensation is present, dry the area thoroughly and allow the panel to air out before reassembly.
  • Replace display PCB: If the error persists and the keypad appears physically fine, replace the display/control PCB with a Whynter-compatible part.

Note: Avoid using excessive liquid cleaners directly on the control panel to prevent future moisture intrusion.
