Possible Causes
Burned-out LED or bulb, Faulty door switch, Loose light wiring, Failed light driver on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before working on the light or door switch.
Steps:
- Check door switch: Verify that the door switch actuates when the door opens/closes. Test it with a multimeter for continuity.
- Inspect light assembly: Remove the light cover inside the cabinet. Check for loose connectors or visible damage to the LED module.
- Replace light module: If the LED or bulb is visibly burnt or does not light with proper voltage, replace it with a Whynter-compatible light assembly.
- Wiring check: Trace the light wiring back to the control board for loose or damaged connections.
If the switch and light are good but still no illumination, the control board's light driver may be faulty and the board may need replacement.
