Possible Causes
Failed condenser fan motor, Failed evaporator circulation fan, Obstructed fan blades, Fan wiring or connector failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before touching any fans or internal components.
- Identify which fan: Some models have separate codes or icons for interior circulation fan vs rear condenser fan. Listen and observe which fan is not operating.
- Check for obstructions: Remove any debris, cable ties, or insulation contacting the fan blades. Spin the fan by hand; it should move freely.
- Inspect wiring: Follow the fan wires to the connector on the control board. Ensure the plug is fully seated and wires are not cut or pinched.
- Test fan voltage: With the unit plugged in and calling for cooling (use caution), measure DC voltage at the fan connector. If voltage is present but the fan does not spin, the fan motor is bad.
- Replace the fan: Install a compatible Wine Enthusiast fan motor (condenser or evaporator). Mount securely and ensure blades do not rub against shrouds.
If no voltage is present at the fan connector, the control board's fan driver circuit may be faulty and require replacement.
