Wine Enthusiast thermoelectric wine cooler shows E6 and does not cool.

Safety: Unplug the unit. Thermoelectric modules and heat sinks can be hot immediately after operation.

• Access the cooling module: Remove the rear panel to expose the aluminum heat sink, Peltier module, and cooling fan assembly used in Wine Enthusiast thermoelectric models.
• Inspect wiring and connectors: Check the Peltier module leads and connectors for burns, melting, or disconnection. Reseat any loose plugs.
• Check fans: Ensure both the interior and exterior fans spin freely. A failed fan can cause the module to overheat and trigger E6.
• Test module voltage: With the unit plugged in and calling for cooling (use caution, live voltage), measure DC voltage at the Peltier module connector. If there is no voltage, the control board or power supply is suspect. If voltage is present but no temperature difference across the module, the module is likely failed.
• Replace failed parts: Replace the Peltier module with a compatible Wine Enthusiast thermoelectric module, using thermal paste between the module and heat sinks. Replace any non-spinning fans at the same time.
• Reassemble and test: Reinstall the rear panel, restore power, and verify that E6 clears and the cabinet begins to cool.

If you are not comfortable testing live DC circuits, have a technician diagnose the control board and module.
