Possible Causes
Failed LED display module, Loose display board connector, Shorted display driver IC, Moisture damage to front PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before removing the front control panel.
- Remove control bezel: Carefully pry or unscrew the front bezel around the display. Support the panel to avoid straining the wires.
- Inspect connectors: Check the plug between the display board and the main control board. Reseat it firmly.
- Look for corrosion: Examine the display PCB for white or green corrosion, especially if the unit is in a humid environment. Light corrosion can sometimes be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush.
- Test operation: Reconnect power briefly to see if the F1 code clears and the display stabilizes. If not, the display board is likely defective.
- Replace display board: Order the correct Wine Enthusiast display/control PCB and swap it, transferring any mounting hardware or gaskets.
If a new display board does not resolve F1, the main control board may be sending incorrect signals and should be evaluated.
