Possible Causes

Stuck relay on main control board, Shorted temperature sensor reading too warm, Control board calibration error, Thermostat set too low or misconfigured

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing controls or sensors.

  • Check set temperature: Verify the setpoint is appropriate for wine storage (typically 45–65°F / 7–18°C). Adjust upward if set too low.
  • Power reset: Unplug the cooler for 10 minutes to reset the control board. Plug back in and observe if overcooling continues.
  • Compare actual vs displayed temperature: Place an accurate thermometer inside. If the display shows much warmer than actual, the sensor may be faulty and causing the unit to overcool.
  • Inspect and test sensor: Locate the cabinet temperature sensor and test resistance. Replace if readings are out of specification.
  • Check for stuck relay: If the compressor runs continuously regardless of setpoint, the compressor relay on the main board may be stuck closed. In this case, replace the main control board.

Persistent overcooling can damage wine; if you cannot correct it via sensor or board replacement, discontinue use and consult a technician.
