Possible Causes
Failed evaporator fan in affected zone, Blocked air channel between zones, Faulty zone temperature sensor, Zone-specific control relay failure on main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooler before removing interior panels.
- Compare zones: Note which zone (upper or lower) is not cooling. Listen for fan noise in each zone.
- Check zone fan: Remove the interior rear panel of the warm zone and verify the evaporator or circulation fan spins freely and runs when the unit is on. Replace if not operating.
- Inspect air channels: Ensure vents between zones are not blocked by bottles or shelves. Clear any obstructions.
- Test zone sensor: Measure resistance of the affected zone's temperature sensor and compare to the working zone's sensor at similar temperature. Replace if significantly different.
- Evaluate control board: If fan and sensor are good but the compressor or cooling valve for that zone never activates, the main control board may have a failed zone relay and should be replaced.
