Locate noise source: Open the door and listen near the rear interior panel. The noise often comes from behind this panel where the evaporator fan is located.
Remove interior panel: Take off the screws holding the rear panel and gently pull it away to expose the fan.
Inspect fan and surroundings: Check for ice buildup around the fan. If present, fully defrost the unit and address any defrost or drainage issues. Remove any debris caught in the blades.
Check fan play: Spin the fan by hand. If it feels rough, wobbles, or squeals, the motor bearings are worn.
Replace fan assembly: Install a new Wine Enthusiast evaporator or circulation fan motor and blade. Ensure it is mounted securely and centered in the opening.
