Display shows EC4 and unit may not cool or may short-cycle.

Safety: Unplug the unit. Work in a well-ventilated area. Do not open the sealed refrigeration system.

• Listen for compressor operation: After restoring power, listen at the rear. A repeated clicking or humming followed by a stop can indicate compressor or start electronics issues.
• Inspect wiring: Remove the rear lower access panel. Check the compressor harness, inverter module (if present), and ground connections for burns or looseness.
• Check condenser fan: Ensure the condenser fan runs when the compressor is commanded on. A non-running fan can cause overheating and compressor shutdown.
• Basic electrical checks: With power off and wires disconnected, measure compressor winding resistance and compare to Wolf specs. An open or shorted winding indicates a failed compressor.
• Do not attempt sealed system repair: If compressor or inverter is suspected, contact a Wolf-authorized technician. Specialized tools and EPA certification are required.
