Possible Causes

Failed ambient thermistor, Sensor dislodged from grille area, Damaged sensor wiring, Poor connection at control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power at the breaker before accessing the grille or control area.

  • Locate ambient sensor: On many Wolf wine coolers, the ambient sensor is near the top grille or behind the toe kick, sensing room temperature.
  • Inspect sensor and harness: Ensure the sensor is not dangling or touching hot components. Check for cuts or abrasions in the wiring.
  • Reseat connector: Follow the harness to the main control board and reseat the plug.
  • Test resistance: Measure sensor resistance at room temperature and compare to Wolf’s thermistor chart. Replace if out of range.
  • Reposition sensor: Make sure the sensor is placed where it can accurately sense room air, not trapped behind insulation or metal panels.
