Possible Causes
Worn or damaged touchpad, Moisture ingress into control panel, Loose ribbon cable between keypad and PCB, Faulty display/control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before removing the control panel or display assembly.
Steps:
- Clean surface: Wipe the control panel with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use excessive water or cleaners that can seep inside.
- Inspect for moisture: If condensation is visible inside the panel, allow the unit to dry out with power off for several hours.
- Check ribbon cable: Remove the control panel cover and ensure the ribbon cable from the keypad to the PCB is fully seated and not damaged.
- Test buttons: With the panel open (and power disconnected), gently press each button and feel for proper tactile response. A flat or stuck button indicates wear.
- Replace keypad or PCB: If physical damage is found, replace the keypad assembly or the entire display/control PCB with a Zanussi-compatible part.
Note: If the cooler is under warranty, keypad issues should be handled by authorized service to avoid voiding coverage.
