E8 displayed, temperature display may flash; unit may overcool or not reach set temperature.

Safety: Disconnect mains power before accessing internal wiring or control boards.

Steps:

• Identify model type: E8 is more common on dual-zone Zanussi wine coolers. Confirm if your model has separate upper and lower temperature controls.
• Check interconnect harness: Remove the rear panel and locate the harness linking the upper and lower zone controls. Inspect for pinched, cut, or disconnected wires.
• Reseat connectors: Unplug and firmly reconnect the multi-pin connectors at both ends of the interconnect harness.
• Inspect zone divider sensor: Some models use a sensor near the mid-divider between zones. Check for damage and test resistance as with other NTC sensors.
• Swap sensor connections (if possible): On some boards, you can temporarily swap upper and lower sensor connectors to see if the error follows a sensor or stays with a board channel. Only do this if clearly labeled and you can return them correctly.
• Replace faulty component: Replace the damaged harness, divider sensor, or zone control PCB as indicated by testing.
