Possible Causes
Stuck relay on main PCB keeping compressor on, Shorted temperature sensor reading too warm, Incorrect setpoint or mode, Faulty control board logic
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance before accessing controls or sensors.
Steps:
- Verify setpoint: Check the temperature setting on the control panel. Ensure it is not set too low for wine storage.
- Reset control: Power off the unit for 10 minutes, then restore power and re-enter the desired temperature.
- Check cabinet sensor: Test the cabinet NTC sensor as described for E1. A sensor that reads too high (low resistance) will cause overcooling.
- Observe compressor cycling: If the compressor never shuts off even when the cabinet is very cold, the compressor relay on the PCB may be stuck closed.
- Replace faulty parts: Replace the cabinet sensor if readings are incorrect. If the sensor is good but the compressor runs continuously, the main PCB likely needs replacement.
Note: Overcooling can damage wine. Remove valuable bottles and store them temporarily elsewhere until the fault is resolved.
