Possible Causes
Shorted cabinet NTC sensor, Stuck compressor relay on PCB, Incorrect calibration of control board, Sensor positioned too close to evaporator
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before working inside the cabinet or on the control board.
Steps:
- Confirm setpoint: Ensure the temperature is not set too low for the type of wine stored.
- Check sensor location: The cabinet sensor should be on the wall, not touching the evaporator or cold air outlet. Reposition if necessary.
- Test sensor resistance: Remove and measure the NTC sensor. A very low resistance at room temperature indicates a shorted sensor. Replace if out of spec.
- Observe compressor cycling: If the compressor never stops, even when the cabinet is very cold, the relay on the PCB may be stuck. This requires PCB replacement.
Tip: Until repaired, raise the setpoint and monitor with a separate thermometer to avoid freezing valuable bottles.
