Possible Causes
Open or shorted outlet coil thermistor, Sensor detached from coil outlet pipe, Damaged wiring harness, Indoor PCB sensor input failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the indoor coil and piping.
- Locate outlet sensor: This thermistor is typically clipped to the copper pipe at the outlet of the indoor heat exchanger.
- Check attachment: Ensure the sensor is firmly attached and has good thermal contact with the pipe.
- Inspect wiring: Look for pinched or cut wires where they pass through metal brackets. Repair or replace as needed.
- Resistance test: Measure resistance and compare to Fujitsu's temperature-resistance chart. Replace the sensor if readings are out of spec.
- PCB evaluation: If a new sensor does not resolve F6, the indoor PCB may be faulty and should be replaced by a technician.
