Possible Causes
Dirty indoor blower wheel causing drag, Failing DC indoor fan motor, Faulty fan speed feedback sensor, Indoor PCB fan control fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker. Avoid contact with the blower wheel when power is on.
- Clean blower and filters: Remove filters and wash them. If accessible, vacuum or brush dust from the blower wheel blades.
- Check for obstructions: Ensure no wiring or insulation is rubbing against the blower wheel.
- Test fan speeds: Restore power and cycle through fan speed settings. If the fan does not change speed or stalls, the motor may be failing.
- Motor replacement: Replace the indoor fan motor if it cannot maintain proper RPM. Ensure correct wiring and secure mounting.
- PCB check: If a new motor still results in H2, the indoor PCB fan control circuit may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
