Possible Causes
Clogged indoor air filter, Dirty indoor or outdoor heat exchanger, Low refrigerant charge due to small leak, Incorrect temperature or mode settings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before cleaning filters or coils.
Steps:
- Check settings: Ensure the Gorenje unit is set to Cool mode with a set temperature at least 3–5°C below room temperature. Verify fan speed is not on the lowest setting if rapid cooling is desired.
- Clean filters: Open the front panel, remove filters, and wash with lukewarm water. Dry completely before reinstalling.
- Inspect indoor coil: Look behind the filters at the evaporator fins. If heavily dusty, clean gently with a soft brush or a dedicated coil cleaner.
- Check outdoor unit: Ensure the outdoor Gorenje condenser is not blocked by leaves, dust, or covers. Clean the fins with low-pressure water.
- Room conditions: Close windows and doors; avoid heat sources (ovens, halogen lamps) and direct sun without curtains.
- If still weak: A technician should check refrigerant charge and system pressures and inspect for leaks.
