Possible Causes
Drifted or out-of-spec indoor ambient NTC sensor, Sensor installed in wrong location or touching coil, Wiring harness damage, Indoor PCB misreading sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before opening the indoor unit.
Steps:
- Locate ambient sensor: On many Gorenje models, the ambient sensor is near the air intake grille, separate from the coil sensor.
- Check placement: Ensure the sensor is in the return air stream, not touching the evaporator coil or metal frame, which can cause incorrect readings.
- Inspect wiring: Look for pinched or broken wires. Repair or replace as needed.
- Replace sensor: If the sensor appears damaged or readings are unstable, replace it with the correct Gorenje ambient NTC sensor.
- PCB check: If a new sensor does not resolve F1, the indoor PCB may require replacement.
