Incorrect mode or temperature setting, Remote control not communicating properly, Child lock or timer function active, Faulty indoor PCB relay or triac
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Steps:
- Verify mode: Set the Gorenje remote to Cool or Heat (not Fan or Dry) and set temperature well below (cooling) or above (heating) room temperature.
- Cancel timers: Check for any timer icons on the display. Cancel all timers and schedules.
- Remote batteries: Replace batteries and ensure there is a clear line of sight to the indoor unit IR receiver.
- Manual start: Some models have an emergency operation button under the front panel. Press it to test basic operation.
- Power reset: Turn off power at the breaker for 5–10 minutes, then restore.
- If still no start: The indoor PCB or communication with the outdoor unit may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
