Outdoor unit stops, indoor unit may show E3 and cooling/heating stops unexpectedly.
Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.

Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the breaker and wait at least 10 minutes before touching the outdoor unit. Components may be hot.
- Step 1 – Check outdoor airflow: Ensure there is at least 30–50 cm clearance around the Royal Clima outdoor unit. Remove leaves, plastic bags, or debris blocking the grille.
- Step 2 – Clean condenser coil: Use a garden hose with gentle pressure to rinse the condenser fins from inside out (if accessible). Do not use high pressure that can bend fins. Allow the unit to dry.
- Step 3 – Inspect outdoor fan: With power OFF, spin the fan blade by hand. It should rotate freely without grinding. If stiff or noisy, the fan motor may be failing.
- Step 4 – Restart and listen: Restore power and start the unit. Listen for abnormal compressor noises (loud humming, clicking, or tripping). If the breaker trips or E3 appears quickly, stop using the unit.
- Step 5 – Electrical diagnosis (advanced): A technician will measure compressor winding resistance and check the inverter module on the outdoor PCB for overcurrent faults.
When to call a technician: If E3 recurs after cleaning and ensuring airflow, or if the compressor does not start, professional diagnosis is required to avoid further damage.
