- Step 1 – Check environment: Ensure no heat sources (TVs, lamps) or cold drafts are directly affecting the unit's intake.
- Step 2 – Clean sensor area: Remove the front cover and gently clean dust around the room sensor.
- Step 3 – Reposition sensor: If the sensor is touching the evaporator or metal frame, reposition it slightly into the airflow path.
- Step 4 – Replace sensor: If readings remain inaccurate, install a new Sencor room temperature sensor.
