Secondary Water Level / Safety Overflow Protection
Symptom
Air conditioner runs but does not cool the room effectively; air from vents is only slightly cool.
Reduced Cooling Capacity
Symptom
Display shows correct temperature but room feels much warmer or cooler than indicated.
Inaccurate Temperature Sensing
Symptom
Indoor unit makes loud rattling, buzzing, or grinding noises during operation.
Excessive Operational Noise
Symptom
Outdoor unit vibrates excessively or makes banging noises, especially at compressor start-up.
Outdoor Vibration / Mechanical Noise
Symptom
Portable unit shows hose connected but hot air leaks into the room around the window kit.
Poor Exhaust Sealing (Portable AC)
Symptom
Remote control does not operate the unit, but front panel buttons work.
Remote Control / IR Receiver Failure
Symptom
Unit blows warm air in cooling mode or cold air in heating mode intermittently.
Mode Reversal / Reversing Valve Malfunction
Symptom
Unit displays lights or symbols but buttons on the front panel do not respond.
Keypad / Control Panel Failure
Symptom

No Power / Dead Unit
Symptom
Unit frequently turns on and off (short cycling) within a few minutes, without reaching set temperature.
Short Cycling
Symptom
Unit powers on but compressor never starts; only fan runs and room does not cool.
Compressor Not Starting
Symptom
Unit runs in heating mode but provides insufficient heat, especially in cold weather.
Reduced Heating Capacity
Symptom
Unit trips the household circuit breaker when starting or during operation.
Electrical Overload / Short Circuit
Symptom
Unit turns off by itself after some time and will not restart until power is cycled.
Thermal Overload / Overheating Shutdown
Symptom
Unpleasant musty or moldy smell from the indoor unit when it starts.
