How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing the front panel.

  • Step 1 – Try remote control: If the remote still operates the unit, the issue is likely with the front panel keypad.
  • Step 2 – Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the front panel and check the flat ribbon cable between the keypad board and main PCB. Reseat both ends.
  • Step 3 – Check for moisture: Look for signs of water or condensation inside the panel. Dry thoroughly and consider using a moisture absorber.
  • Step 4 – Replace keypad board: If buttons remain unresponsive, replace the Sencor control panel / keypad PCB.
