Possible Causes
Faulty touchpad or button PCB, Loose ribbon cable to main PCB, Liquid ingress into control panel, Main PCB input failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing the front panel.
- Step 1 – Try remote control: If the remote still operates the unit, the issue is likely with the front panel keypad.
- Step 2 – Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the front panel and check the flat ribbon cable between the keypad board and main PCB. Reseat both ends.
- Step 3 – Check for moisture: Look for signs of water or condensation inside the panel. Dry thoroughly and consider using a moisture absorber.
- Step 4 – Replace keypad board: If buttons remain unresponsive, replace the Sencor control panel / keypad PCB.
- Step 5 – PCB check: If neither remote nor panel works, the main PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
