How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off and unplug the unit. Be prepared for water spillage when opening panels.
- Step 1 – Level check: Use a spirit level to ensure the indoor or portable unit is slightly tilted toward the drain outlet as specified by Sencor.
- Step 2 – Clean drain pan: Remove the front cover and access the drain pan under the evaporator. Clear slime, algae, and debris with a brush and warm water.
- Step 3 – Flush drain hose: Disconnect the drain hose and flush it with warm water or a mild bleach solution to remove clogs.
- Step 4 – Inspect for cracks: Check the plastic drain pan for cracks or warping. Replace if damaged.
- Step 5 – Reconnect securely: Ensure the drain hose is firmly attached and routed downward without kinks.
