Possible Causes

Blocked condenser airflow, Dirty condenser coil, Failed outdoor fan motor, Overcharged or undercharged refrigerant, High ambient temperature

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power before cleaning or opening the outdoor unit.

  • Step 1 – Check airflow: Ensure at least 30 cm clearance around the outdoor unit. Remove any obstructions.
  • Step 2 – Clean condenser coil: Gently brush or hose (if allowed by Sencor manual) the outdoor coil fins from inside out to remove dirt. Do not use high pressure directly on fins.
  • Step 3 – Verify outdoor fan: Confirm the outdoor fan starts and runs at full speed when cooling or heating. Replace the fan motor if it is slow or not running.
  • Step 4 – Allow cool-down: After an H3 event, let the unit cool for 30 minutes before restarting.
  • Step 5 – Professional refrigerant check: If H3 recurs, a technician should measure operating pressures and correct any refrigerant charge issues.
