How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing the front panel.
- Step 1 – Replace batteries: Install fresh, correctly oriented batteries in the Sencor remote.
- Step 2 – Clean IR windows: Wipe the remote's IR LED and the unit's IR receiver window with a soft, dry cloth.
- Step 3 – Check distance and angle: Operate the remote within 5 m and directly facing the unit.
- Step 4 – Test remote: Point the remote at a smartphone camera; pressing buttons should show a flashing light on the screen. If not, the remote is faulty and should be replaced.
- Step 5 – Inspect IR receiver board: Remove the front panel and check the small IR receiver board and its connector. Replace the board if damaged.
