• Step 1 – Clean filters: Wash filters thoroughly and dry.
• Step 2 – Clean evaporator: Spray an AC-safe foaming coil cleaner onto the evaporator fins. Allow it to work per instructions, then run the fan-only mode to dry.
• Step 3 – Disinfect drain pan: Wipe the drain pan with a cloth soaked in a mild bleach solution or specialized AC disinfectant.
• Step 4 – Use self-clean function (if available): Many Sencor units have a self-clean or dry mode; run this regularly after cooling to reduce moisture.
• Step 5 – Improve room ventilation: Occasionally open windows or use a dehumidifier to reduce overall humidity.
