• Step 2 – Clear line of sight: Ensure nothing blocks the IR path between remote and indoor unit.
• Step 3 – Test remote: Point the remote at a smartphone camera; pressing buttons should show a flashing light on the remote's IR LED in the camera view. If not, replace the remote.
• Step 4 – Check IR receiver: If the remote works but the unit does not respond, the IR receiver board or main PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
