How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power. Be cautious of sharp fins and fan blades.
- Visual inspection: Access the rear or outdoor section and check if the condenser fan spins when the compressor is running. If not, proceed.
- Check for obstructions: Remove any debris, plastic, or bent grille parts blocking the fan blade.
- Inspect capacitor (if used): Locate the condenser fan capacitor and check for bulging or leaks. Replace with the correct Soleus Air-specified capacitor if defective.
- Test motor: Spin the fan blade by hand; it should move freely. If seized or very rough, replace the condenser fan motor.
- Check wiring and connectors: Ensure all motor leads are secure on the PCB or relay block.
- Reassemble and test: After repairs, reassemble, restore power, and verify that F2 clears and the fan runs whenever the compressor is on.
