Symptom
Burning or electrical smell from the Soleus Air AC during operation.
Overheating Electrical Component
Symptom
Control panel buttons on the Soleus Air AC do not respond or respond intermittently.
Keypad / Touch Control Failure
Symptom
Display shows normal operation but airflow from the Soleus Air AC is very weak even on high fan speed.
Restricted Airflow / Blower Obstruction
Symptom
Display works but settings randomly change or unit turns on/off by itself.
Erratic Control / Electrical Interference
Symptom
Frost or ice buildup on the front evaporator coil or air outlet of the Soleus Air AC.
Evaporator Coil Icing
Symptom
High-pitched squealing or grinding noise from the Soleus Air AC fan area.

Symptom
Musty or moldy odor from the Soleus Air AC when it starts or runs.
Biological Growth in Evaporator and Drain System
Symptom
Outdoor side of window or through-the-wall Soleus Air AC is excessively noisy; neighbors complain of loud fan or compressor.
Outdoor Noise / Vibration
Symptom
Soleus Air AC in heat pump mode (if equipped) does not produce warm air; blows cool or room-temperature air.
Heat Pump Heating Failure
Symptom
Soleus Air AC remote control does not operate the unit; unit works from panel buttons only.
Remote Control / IR Receiver Failure
Symptom
Soleus Air AC trips the household circuit breaker or blows a fuse when starting or shortly after.

Symptom
Soleus Air AC turns on and off frequently (short cycling), running only a few minutes at a time.
Short Cycling / Improper Thermostat Control
Symptom
Soleus Air portable AC exhaust hose becomes very hot and room does not cool well.
Improper Exhaust / Heat Recirculation
Symptom
Soleus Air portable or window AC runs but does not cool the room effectively; air from outlet is only slightly cool.
Reduced Cooling Capacity / Poor Heat Exchange
Symptom
Unit blows cold air but then the airflow suddenly stops; fan shuts off while compressor may still be running briefly.
Indoor Fan Overheating or Fan Control Fault
Symptom
Unit powers on but compressor never starts; fan runs continuously and air is not cold.
