Possible Causes

Room temperature below minimum operating range, Outdoor temperature too low for cooling mode, Faulty ambient temperature sensor reading low

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: No internal repair is usually required for H1; it is often a protective indication.

  • Check room temperature: Verify that the room is within the operating range specified in your Soleus Air manual (commonly above 61°F/16°C for cooling).
  • Relocate unit: If the unit is installed in a very cold area (e.g., garage, basement near open door), move it to a more suitable environment.
  • Sensor check: If the room is warm but H1 persists, the ambient sensor may be reading incorrectly. Inspect and test the room thermistor as described for E1.
  • Board/sensor replacement: Replace the ambient thermistor or main control board if sensor readings are incorrect and cannot be calibrated.
