Possible Causes
Condensate collection tank full, Kinked or blocked internal drain hose, Faulty water level sensor or float
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn the unit off and unplug it before draining water.
- Drain water: Move the unit to a location where water can be safely drained. Remove the lower drain plug or cap at the back/bottom. Use a shallow pan to catch water until flow stops.
- Check for continuous drain option: If your Soleus Air model has an upper continuous drain port, attach a suitable hose and route it to a floor drain to prevent future P1 shutdowns.
- Inspect float and sensor: Remove the rear panel to access the condensate tank. Verify that the float moves freely and is not stuck by dirt or scale. Clean the tank and float assembly with mild detergent.
- Check internal drain path: Look for kinks or clogs in the internal drain tube leading from the evaporator pan to the tank or drain outlet. Clear any obstructions.
- Reassemble and test: Reinstall the drain plug securely, reassemble panels, plug in, and restart. The P1 code should clear once the water level is low.
