How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit. Wear gloves and a mask if you are sensitive to mold.
- Clean filter: Wash the air filter thoroughly with warm, soapy water and let it dry completely.
- Clean evaporator coil: Remove the front cover and spray a foaming coil cleaner specifically designed for AC evaporators. Allow it to work and drain as directed.
- Clean drain pan: Wipe the condensate pan with a cloth and mild detergent. Ensure the drain hole is clear.
- Clean blower wheel: If accessible, wipe the blower wheel blades with a damp cloth to remove dust and biofilm.
- Run in fan mode: After cleaning, run the unit in FAN-only mode for 30–60 minutes to help dry the interior and reduce odors.
